Sales Manager Connectivity
Lufthansa Technik AG
Hamburg, Germany
With our airline background, we know that continuous operation is essential for your business. This is why we keep your aircraft's downtime to a minimum. With a mean average of four days per aircraft, we are your partner for integrating high-speed connectivity technology quickly into fleets of any size.
We provide fast integration, regardless of whether you want to equip a big fleet or a single aircraft with the latest on-board connectivity systems. We have the capacity to equip up to ten aircraft simultaneously, either during a regular check or during a special layover. If desired, we can even carry out the work on site wherever you are located.
While previous installations were mostly based on standard hardware, the current integration of components and systems is optimized for faster installation. Our experience enables us to work with a wide variety of connectivity hardware providers to ensure even less downtime.
Our solution requires minimal intervention:
What makes us the perfect partner for connectivity solutions and MRO services? First and foremost, our vast experience and strong business relations in the aviation industry. More than 800 international customers rely on our expertise. Our customer base includes regional start-ups, small and mid-sized carriers, legacy airlines and numerous private and government aircraft. We know from experience that "one size fits all" does not apply here.
Our experience helped us play a pioneering role in installing the current FlyNet® portal on Lufthansa's long-haul fleet. Our Aircraft Modification unit is currently the partner of choice when it comes to bringing connectivity on board of narrowbody aircraft. Partnered with Lufthansa Systems and its BordConnect system, we are optimally positioned to meet the increasing demand for wireless Internet connections on short- and medium-haul flights.
We have been equipping aircraft with connectivity solutions since 2003. Lufthansa was the first airline to provide Wi-Fi on long-haul flights and still maintains the largest international long-haul fleet with Internet access today. And as broadband Internet learned to fly with us, we gained experience with various systems and are proud to be the first choice for installing satellite communication technology.
In the space of just two years, we equipped Lufthansa's entire fleet of 80 long-range aircraft with a cutting-edge cabin design that included an all-new in-flight entertainment system. Lufthansa is thus the first airline in the world to have a long-haul fleet with broadband technology.
The installation program for broadband technology in the continental fleets of Lufthansa, Eurowings and Austrian Airlines is the first of its kind. The new service is based on state-of-the-art broadband satellite technology and offers seamless, reliable coverage.
To keep your operations running, we maintain a global network: We provide maintenance at around sixty international and eleven German stations and base maintenance at ten locations. Our subsidiaries stretch from Sun Valley to Shenzhen.
With Inmarsat as one of our main partners for connectivity solutions, we even have an ally in space. Local support is available almost anywhere in the world – with customized solutions for every customer.
